Why do you require a model release?

Everyone wants to be able to see what to expect from a session with me. The images I create and share are how you probably found me and decided to read more about me in the first place. A model release allows me to share the images I capture during our session to show people what we create together.   If I can’t share, then people can’t see the consistency in the product that I deliver. I don’t cherry pick what I show — I show images from every single client I photograph (except for those that pay the small privacy fee for not signing a model release). A model release allows me to use the images in my online portfolio on my website as well as on social media.

What if I choose to keep images we create together private?

I value your privacy, and am happy to work with you while keeping your images private.  If you choose to keep the images we create together out of my portfolio, an additional fee  of $150 will apply to your session.  Without the modest fee, many might casually allow me not to share the images I create for them, and a photographer without images to share unfortunately generally won’t get hired.

How far in advance can I reserve a date?

Sessions can be booked anywhere from one week to three months in advance.  If you are currently expecting, and looking for a newborn photographer, please get in touch, and I can pencil in your due date, to ensure I have availability around then for you — once your baby arrives, please let me know as soon as possible so we can settle on an exact session date and time.

How do I reserve my date?

After you contact me to book your session, we’ll chat (via email, phone, or in person — your choice) about the specifics of your situation.  If you decide you’d like to reserve a date, we will decide on a time, and it will be held on my calendar once I receive your session fee and contract.

Where are you located and will you travel?

I’m located in Arlington, MA, and travel within a 10-mile radius of Arlington is included in your session fee. If you’re farther away, never fear! I am happy to travel to you, for a fee of $2 per mile outside of my regular zone.

When do I get to see my images?

After leaving your session, I will carefully go through all the images and work with them to bring out the very best.  Within a day or two, I will post a sneak peek on my Facebook page.  This is a fantastic way for you to share some of the images right away with your friends and family.  I recommend tagging yourself in the image, as that will generally reach more of your friends’ and family’s newsfeeds than clicking the share button with Facebook’s current algorithm.  Generally the full editing process will take 2 weeks for portrait sessions and 3 weeks for events, but if time is of the essence, please let me know, and we can discuss rush pricing.

You will receive an online gallery with full-resolution images you will be able to download to your own computer or mobile devices.

How do I order prints?

Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured, and a member of Professional Photographers of America.
