In this new world of Covid-19, backyard portraits have definitely increased in popularity!   These folks gravitated toward more traditional posing, but we also had a lot of fun!  These folks booked a session in celebration of their oldest daughter’s bat mitzvah in mid-June (a celebration that surely looked incredibly different than what they had originally envisioned due to the pandemic).  The bat mitzvah girl picked her outfit for her special day, and we did some shots like that before she decided to change to match her twin sisters.  While M. was changing,  we took the opportunity to do a “just parents” photo (SO many parents look at me a little surprised when I suggest it — it’s often been quite a long time since they’ve had a chance to have a picture of just them with no kids), and a “just twins” photo — we did one more serious set-up for that, and then since M. was still changing, her sisters had a chance to get a little goofy — always MY favorite images 🙂   And when M. came back, she joined in the silly fun.  As a mom of three myself, I absolutely loved seeing these kiddos plan out some funny things together — exactly the kinds of sibling moments I think I’ll enjoy looking back on as a mom, and I hope my clients feel similarly 🙂

Throughout this entire session, as for all my pandemic portrait sessions, I was able to maintain distance from them, and wear my mask to keep them as protected as possible.  They were able to snuggle in with each other though so we could show all the love in their family <3  Here are a few of my favorites.
