Frigid Fun Fall Portraits | Arlington, MA

The weather this fall has been all over the place — snow, then in the 70’s, then back to seasonal temperatures, then a blast of frigid air, the back to seasonal again!  New England weather is always a bit of a wild ride, and can be hard to predict when booking a ways out (that’s why I always leave space in case of emergency rescheduling needs in my schedule — nothing like a sudden rain storm!). This week we had quite the arctic blast of air in the middle of the week.  I was supposed to meet up with these fine folks on the coldest day of them all — the high was around 30 degrees, but with windchill, it was feeling closer to the upper teens/low 20’s!   They could have asked to reschedule, but decided to go ahead as planned.  These kiddos were PHENOMENALLY good sports — we took warming breaks, and I kept them moving as much as possible so they wouldn’t get too cold — jumping, running, and then snuggling together to stay warm and cozy.    Their smiles certainly warmed my heart, and they were so sweet (my own children when they’re cold… well, let’s not go there 😉 ).  If you think your family might be up for a winter portrait session, when New England has a beauty all its own, drop me a line — I’d love to get you on the calendar.

Here are a few of my favorites:
