Summer Outdoor Headshots | Arlington, MA

This was the session I was starting to think might never actually get to happen.  I got the initial inquiry this past spring, as everything was shutting down.  We (incredibly naively and optimistically!) scheduled for late April, originally, and that obviously had to shift because it was only shortly after covid-19 cases peaked in the Greater Boston area.  We shifted to May, and then it became “wait and see”  as things started opening up.  I never wanted to rush things — while I was comfortable doing sessions outdoors and with distance, I wanted to wait until my client was fully comfortable as well.  Patrice works in advertising and communication, and the name of her business is Acorn Advertising, so including the natural world in her portraits was super important to her in portraying her brand — she wanted lots of greenery, and we focused on locations that would really highlight that.   When we saw a heron on our walk, she even asked to include an image of it in her gallery 🙂

Like most of my adult clients, Patrice was a little reluctant to get in front of the camera – I took her through my prep guide and she said she found it very reassuring — she was able to prep multiple outfits that she loved, which helped to boost her confidence.

I was relieved and really happy to see how nice the photos came out! Your professionalism from start to finish made all the difference in the world.  You made the shoot so much fun that I am actually looking forward to doing another one sooner rather than later.

Here are a few of my favorites:
