Oh. My. Goodness.  I’ve been watching these kiddos explore and adventure for years (full disclosure — we’re neighbors!) so when mom M. reached out to me about a portrait session and asked if we could do it at the park where the kids have been building a treehouse with their classmates (as everyone is spending extra time outside due to the pandemic, but their school has always been creative like this!) I was SUPER excited.  And this treehouse was even more amazing than I dared dream!  A cloudy day in late fall didn’t dampen their enthusiasm for showing off all their favorite spots and features, and I *loved* seeing it.  They were already highly engaged in play at the treehouse when I arrived, so that was where we started, but after a while we also got to explore some other gorgeous spots nearby.  With super active kids, I make sure to have a super active session — play to their strengths!  And we also had some lovely time for just free play, which often results in some of my favorite images (as it did this time!).  Here are a few of my favorites from our time together — and if your family has a special spot you’d love to do your family portraits in, I’d love to hear about it!
