Woodland Family Portraits | Medford, MA

It had been two (plus!) years since I’d last had these folks in front of my camera.  Last time I got to photograph these folks it was the height of summer.  This time around had a different feel entirely with glorious autumn foliage.  The kids had gotten so much bigger, too!  Daughter I. is now taller than I am, and son M. has also grown so much.  The night before their session, I got a cool new photography toy they were kind enough to let me play with for a short bit of their session — some prisms I had stress-purchased while waiting for election results.  You can see some examples in the individual shots of I. below — they were super fun to play with, and I’m excited to get to incorporate them into some of my sessions moving forward.  We had so much fun playing games and seeing what these woodlands had to offer in terms of exploration and adventures.  We climbed on rocks and trekked up the path to see what we could see, we played with fallen leaves and with the LEGO guy that M had brought with him.  Here are a few of my favorites:
